Said the robin to the sparrow
I would really like to know
Why these anxious human beings
rush around and worry so
Said the sparrow to the robin
Friend I think that it must be
They have no Heavenly Father
Such as cares for you and me.
This poem was on a plaque in my parents' bedroom. I read it quite frequently as a child. I think of it often when I see the birds at our feeder on our back deck. It's a truth worth remembering.
